I am a senior majoring in International Affairs and Economics with minors in Spanish, Asian Studies, Mathematics, and Political Science at the University of Cincinnati. I am involved in the Undergraduate Economics Society, UC Feminists, the Office of Nationally Competitive Awards, Honors Ambassadors, and the Learning Assistance Center's peer tutoring program. I am an Honors student and a Presidential Excellence scholar in the Cincinnatus Scholarship program. I am particularly interested in cultural understanding, studying foreign languages, women's issues, and international economics. I chose to come to UC due to all the opportunities in study abroad and for the flexibility of my programs that allows me to shape my education. After my undergraduate degrees, I hope to go on to graduate school to get a PhD in Economics. I would then like to work for the State Department as a Foreign Service Officer at U.S. embassies around the world. I believe that I can best serve others by furthering peace, diplomacy, and cultural understanding through my career.
